On the afternoon of June 11, our College held a special meeting on international exchange and cooperation in Conference Room 413, Education Building. The session featured Senior Researcher Jelena Radišić from the Department of Teacher Education and School Research at the University of Oslo, Norway. The meeting was attended by Dr. Yu Lichuan, specially appointed research fellow and Deputy Leader of the College’s Internationalization Leadership Group; Associate Professor Liu Xin, Director of the International Office; and relevant faculty members and research core staff.

The meeting focused on indepth discussions regarding institutional internationalisation, facultystudent exchanges, academic research, and multiple areas of cooperation.
At the outset, both sides discussed matters related to faculty exchange visits, clarifying the application procedures, management regulations, and approval requirements for such exchanges. Drawing on past cooperative experience, participants explored approaches for advancing the annual exchange plan, confirming that relevant work should be coordinated at the departmental level and that the overall process is similar to existing routine procedures, thereby providing clear direction for the implementation of future faculty exchange programmes.
During the discussions, the two sides focused particularly on cuttingedge research in the field of teacher education. Participants shared an overview of the current state of international teacher education, noting that this field remains in a phase of continuous exploration, with current research mostly concentrated on teaching practice applications and the cultivation of teacher professional qualities. At the same time, discussions touched on the application of artificial intelligence in education, mentioning that the next round of largescale international educational assessments in 2027 will include for the first time relevant survey questions, with data gradually becoming publicly available—an important entry point for future educational research.
The sharing and mining of educational research data was another core topic of the meeting. Participants exchanged information on access channels, usage rights, and application norms for major international education databases and largescale assessment projects, sharing resources such as higher education indicators and regional education survey data published by the OECD, the European Commission, and other bodies. They also discussed the value and limitations of different types of data for academic research, as well as procedures for crossregional data access. Additionally, drawing on their respective research projects, participants shared practical experiences in project proposal submissions, funding approval, and international joint research implementation.
The meeting was marked by a lively and pragmatic atmosphere. It not only deepened mutual understanding of each side’s institutional characteristics, research directions, and cooperation needs, but also laid a solid foundation for future diversified international collaboration, including faculty exchanges, joint research, and academic resource sharing. Our College will continue to advance its internationalisation efforts, broaden international exchange channels, leverage highquality overseas resources, and support disciplinary development, faculty growth, and talent cultivation in reaching new heights.
