Xu Qiang

He teaches the following undergraduate courses: Experimental Psychology and Emotional Psychology, as well as the following graduate courses: Foundations of Emotion and Decision-Making, Special Topics in Face Social Perception, and Advanced Research Methods in Psychology. His research focuses on social cognition, with specific interests including emotional information processing and individual differences, the processing mechanisms of faces and facial expressions, and the psychological and neural mechanisms underlying the integration of emotional information. He has served as principal investigator for a National Social Science Fund of China (Education) project, a National Natural Science Foundation of China project, a Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Research project, a Zhejiang Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning project, as well as several municipal and departmental-level projects. He has published multiple papers as first author or corresponding author in the Chinese authoritative journal Acta Psychologica Sinica as well as in major international academic journals such as Cerebral Cortex, Psychophysiology, Biological Psychology, International Journal of Psychophysiology, and Brain Topography. He is a board member of the Social Cognitive Science Division of the Chinese Cognitive Science Association, and serves as a reviewer for important domestic and international academic journals including Science Bulletin, Acta Psychologica Sinica, Psychological Science, Psychological and Behavioral Research, Applied Psychology, NeuroImage, Psychophysiology, Biological Psychology, European Journal of Social Psychology, Journal of Nonverbal Behavior, and Acta Psychologica.
