His research focuses on the fields of rural revitalization and rural school development, regional higher education and institutional research, as well as resource allocation for senior secondary education and the diversified development of high schools. He has published over 30 papers in journals such as Educational Research, Educational Development Research, and Higher Education Exploration. Many of his papers have been fully reprinted or excerpted by Xinhua Digest and Renmin University Copy Center's Journal Reproductions. He has participated in a number of National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC) education projects and contributed as a co-author to several books. He was awarded the Second Prize (ranked 2nd) in the Ninth Excellent Achievement Award in Scientific Research in Higher Education Institutions (Humanities and Social Sciences), as well as the Second Prize (ranked 2nd) in both the 22nd and 23rd Zhejiang Provincial Excellent Achievement Awards in Philosophy and Social Sciences.
