
He is dedicated to the study of Chinese textbooks and their role in enlightenment over the past century, publishing 15 academic works, including 5 monographs such as *The Road to Rejuvenation: A Century of Chinese Textbooks and Social Change*, and 10 co-authored works such as *A History of Modern Chinese Textbooks*. He has published over 130 papers in journals such as *Educational Research*. He has presided over 18 projects, including the National Social Science Fund project on education, "A Study of National Character in a Century of Chinese Textbooks." He has received over 10 provincial and ministerial-level awards, including the second prize of the National Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement Award (Humanities and Social Sciences).
